Videos: I Am U of T

I Am U of T

The Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office (ARCDO) launched the “I AM U of T”video as a part of the 2015 International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) Campaign showcasing the voices of racialized students as they talk about how their identities have shaped their experiences at the University of Toronto. The video was produced by the ARCDO work-study students and the theme, I AM U of T, is intended to shed light on students whose voices and lived experiences often go unheard. The objective of this video is to move beyond stereotypes, to explore the diverse perspectives and lived experiences of racialized students, and to find out how racialized students are claiming space at the University. This video was inspired by Harvard University’s I Too am Harvard campaign.
